Dust Mats

These dust mats or ' Barrier matting' as they are called are extremely useful in extending the life of your carpets.

Each type of mat comes in diferent sizes and colours. Please click on the more info link to see all the available options.

A simple rule-of-thumb for effective matting applicaitions...

* 4 1/2 metres of matting allows each foot to make contact with matting at least 3 times.

* 4 1/2 metres of matting is required to remove the majority of dirt and mositure from foot traffic.

* 4 1/2 matres can be divided into 3 mats, each with a minimum length of 1 1/2 metres.

The 4 1/2 Metre Rule For Effective Use Of Matting

ZONE1...........................

catches the first wave of heavy debris. Up to 40% of dirt/moisture is removed from shoes in the first 1 1/2 metres.

ZONE2...........................

scrapes fine debris and absorbs moisture in the indoor foyer are for up to 70% in the first 3 metres.

ZONE3...........................

completes the drying process. Virtually all dirt and moisture are removed from shoes after 4 1/2 metres.

Use Dirtstop in and outdoor dust control matting in combination with the 4 1/2 metre rule in order to achieve a fully functional system
